Exactly. That is what real superstar players do.

That's how you do it. I hate all the talk about "thinking long term instead of winning now". I want us to win now. Not getting any younger...

Was that the case?

I always wondered what happened but thought it had to do with the Wild not the Flames?

Flames don’t have a Crosby or Malkin to keep putting chips in the middle and having a legit shot at winning.

That’s a good return for Minny. Addison is one of the best prospects the Pens have - I’d be more excited for that piece than the early 2nd (basically) right now.

I’m sure Zucker will do well in Pittsburg as well.

The 1st is protected this year:

Sarah McLellan @sarah__mclellan
Zucker trade confirmed. Also, the 2020 first rounder could become a 2021 first rounder if the Penguins miss the playoffs and decide to push it back a year.

Do we think Galchenyuk probably gets flipped for a mid rounder? I think he's worth a 2nd-4th rounder.

If they miss this year I suspect the 2021 pick will be even higher. Though I don’t know what the quality of the draft is in 2021.

What was the story in regards to ownership nixing the trade? Didn't Tre have some autonomy written in to his contract? I heard that Minny didn't get thier end of the paperwork in on time, and that Brad was fuming mad.....

If Gally finds his game in Minny this is a huge rip job by Guerin.

This will probably work out for Pittsburgh because, ####, what doesn't these days.

Addison is apparently pretty well thought of.

Ranked as PIT's #2 prospect earlier:

Yeah sounds like Galchenyuk was the throw in.

I fully expect the Wild to showcase then try to flip Galchenyuk at the deadline.

Reminds me of when Ottawa dealt Dzingel to Columbus for 2 2nds... and Duclair. A nice little low-risk gamble but not the real asset.

Galchenyuk is UFA. Should we rent him?

I honestly don't see any reason for Minnesota to trade him. I can't see him garnering more than a fourth-rounder at the deadline and I could see them trying to turn him into a long-term asset for them by playing him in a new position. If it works, they re-sign him, like what happened with Duclair last year, and he becomes an asset for them. If it doesn't work, well, he walks and no real harm done.

Gotta think Galchenyuk gets flipped for futures before the deadline.
