If Hamonic can return and help this team in a limited bottom pair role alternating with Stone later in the season, cool. But forcing him on the top pair just because he "plays hard" was not working at all.

My mistake, forget about your PHD in coaching. Apologies.

Good for Dubes. Nice to see him set a career high. Overall good defence, good offence tonight.
This was a good game to build on. Tonight the Flames looked like a skilled team tonight making plays. It's been challenging all season to maintain that consistency. I thought it was a smart move by Ward to put back the big line together. If by some miracle that trio can find their groove again that bodes well for everyone.
Strangely I don't hate these canucks as much. They are a skilled team and fun to watch. It helps when you have a goalie like Markstrom. Even though he let in 5, I thought he actually held them in it for most of the game. Didn't feel like a 6-2 game.
Good game by Brodie, stepped up big to take the #1 spot. For gods sake keep him, the team will miss him dearly if he departs. Also nice to see flames finally target a star player on opposing team. Tough night for Pettersen who took a lot of abuse all night.
Tkachuk was a monster, maybe one his best games of season. I am drunk and will sleep well tonight.

Thanked for the amazing Bill Nye fashionista gif.

And saying he’s comparable to Stone is crazy. I think people need to isolate on him and watch all the little defensive plays he makes. I think the biggest problem for him is that Hanifin leaves him hanging a lot. Tonight that didn’t happen.

Lots of good tonight.
I’m never sure if Kylington is NHL pretender or top 4 contender but he was really good.
Lucic may only be good for a portion of games a year, but if they are the most important like tonight that can work. He was also good.
Eesh can CBC get over the injustice angle? Every game. Every star. Fuuuuu. Maybe it’s just a grown ups game. Every player fights for ice every game. Tell the oilers and Canucks to get over it already.

Huge win, and definitely not one I thought they'd have going down 1-0 right away
Dube with a 3 point night, Tkachuk setting the tone - and more of Johnny by games end than I've come to expect. Great building blocks and great to see.
Speaking of Johnny, 2 beautiful simple feeds to get on the scoresheet tonight. Finding Tkachuk and Monahan in dangerous positions, and they both went to work. Simple (Ryan simple) smart (Ryan smart) positive plays

And you have a compulsion to take over every thread to make sure it is about you. Try enjoying a win ONE time, it makes it much better for everyone.

Just got home from the game, very satisfying win.
Not gonna complain about anything tonight (except ABBA). Feels like forever since we had a solid through and through win like this.
