Yep, we’re as soft as toilet paper. Flames lose to bottom feeding Sharks 3-1.
If Tre doesn’t pick up Laviolette or Gallant tomorrow he can pack his stuff. Ward might be a nice guy but it’s obvious that this team does not respond to the kid gloves approach. What a bunch of passengers. Golden opportunity to make ground tonight, playing a bottom feeder missing it’s 2 best players and THIS is the effort they give? Outside 3 or 4 guys the rest of the roster are a bunch of p#####s. It’s incredibly unlikely any team with pull a St. Louis type comeback this year but I see absolutely no disadvantages to hiring a real coach, aside from the dollars it will cost ownership. I know everyone wants a roster upgrade and I’m sure Treliving is trying, but you need another GM to be a dance partner to acquire a player. But you have TWO quality coaches available, that I’m sure would not have any reservations about being a head coach again so there is no excuse to not get that done. DO SOMETHING TRELIVING!!!

They are waiting till the summer to pick teams. Why would they rush in joining a team now? Tre needs to just sell and stick to it and retool in the offseason.

The good news is most Flames fans seem to have gotten past the point of letting Ward's incredibly unsustainable start cloud their judgement of him as a coach.
Heads need to role, starting with Brad Treliving. Can't pick a coach and can't build a team that can play against teams with size. Oh, and Milan Lucic. He should be fired just for that move.

Ward was too quick to switch up the lines tonight, I liked our 1st period and we got worse after the line changes were made.
Feels like he's run out of ideas...he's a fine assistant but it's time to get a proven coach who will lay the foundation for how we want this team to play for the rest of the season and beyond. It's not a move to necessarily save this season, and this isn't excusing the players at all, but it's the move to make that will help decide which guys we wanna keep going forward.
I can't see Treliving continuing on with the status quo much longer, we're giving important points right now. The next two weeks are going to be busy and our next non-practice/non-game/non-travel day at home is on the 18th, do we wanna really wait until then?

Ooof.
I thought they were the better team, but their lack of offense/inability to score basically nullified any good play.
San Jose took advantage of almost every dangerous chance they had.
I think Rittich maybe needs a few games rest as well(3-4).
