But you can trust Lucic to make smart plays and move the puck pretty effectively. I do appreciate that he seldom ever makes a bad play.
Which is something you definitely can't trust of Rinaldo. Lucic isn't very good at all anymore but he's at least more NHL calibre than Rinaldo, who never was ever an NHL calibre talent.
So with Rinaldo out, you can give 4 lines more icetime because you have one more NHL calibre player in the lineup. Or at least a better player in the lineup.
I really liked Mangiapane-Backlund-Bennett the other night when they played together, getting another top 6 RWer would aide this team so much.
And yeah we do not really have a 3rd and 4th line especially considering the minutes they play.
Anywhoooooo go Flames go!!!!
Yeah I'll be honest, as much as I crap on Bennett on this forum, I keep seeing offensive glimmers from him, not as a finisher, but as a passer. Kinda like to see more Bennett and Monahan, honestly. If what we are seeing is that he's rounding into a bash-n-crash winger with some passing vision, let's support him with players who can handle that, not just 3rd line "reliable" guys.
Lets hope that when the day comes that when McDavid's agent asks him if he really wants to be traded out of that cesspool, that he taps him on the shoulder and says "Lets go". True leadership Yo

Will make sure to loudly let Neal and Kassian know what this board thinks of them.
I don’t think we should give Kassian any extra attention. He is a fairly irrelevant player in my opinion and doesn’t deserve to be treated like anything more.

Will not be able to watch the game due to my best friend’s birthday party. Will be checking the Game Thread often on my phone. Post well, guys.
I sense Oilers coming to play with gloomy desperation, dirty sportsmanship and, ultimately, the feeling of total and inevitable helplessness. But at least, they can drink some great tap water at the Dome fountains.
Go Flames!
