It’s not hard.
Watch it be some monster corn-filled turd like Randorf for Saturday instead of Ball/Hrudey, so we have to sit through more unbearable BS for a home game.

- Decent performance in a highly entertaining game. Too bad they gave Oilers a point, but the Flames looked tired at many points and the Oilers were clearly desperate to win this. I'd really like to see another crushing victory this season

- I've said this before, but I'm so happy to see Rittichs success. Guy was instantly among my favorites when he came here. Such an entertaining player.

- It's weird and almost sad to see Monahan miss out on so many chances. He used to be so... "money" when he had a clear shot. But hey, winning SO goal is not nothing.

- It's kind of amazing that we're doing as well as we are with both him and Gaudreau struggling. That's depth of sorts, but it's hard to form really effective lines without them playing well. Oh, and Backlund too.

- Ryan still so likable. Too bad he missed out on that chance.

- Lucic needs to show up more in a physical game like this. Unacceptable.

- Did Neal play? Oh right, he did get leveled once

- I love that Brodie seems to have found his focus again. (I'm still guessing it was family related stuff, making it hard to keep his head in the game.) Another player I've liked ever since he was a prospect, and I'm starting to hope he finishes his career as a Flame. Gio could watch out a bit more. (Deserved no more than a tripping call though.) On the other hand, he stopped McDavid without a call, so there's that.

- I'm still kind of waiting to see whether Mangiapane is going to take a step forward or backward. Both seem possible. Two great goals tonight in any case.

- Still not a fan of Hanifin, nor the Hanifin-Hamonic pairing.

- I love Rasmus Still not sure where Kylingtons ceiling is, but theoretically there's nothing wrong with his game that couldn't be fixed with experience.

- Onward and upward.

Hrudey spends most of the game being a homer for the opposition...an away'er if you will

Awesome win. Fun game. Bennett great, Andersson great. Brodie great. I would love to see Bennett and Backlund for an extended period of time.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I cant stand Hanafin. The offensive potential he has is more nights than not offset by how poor he is at defending on the rush and on the cycle. He doesnt skate backwards when defending the rush, he turns sideways. I think we trade him at the draft, or if you can get a young under contract RW at the trade deadline for him, I do it. Nylander for Hanafin, lets do it.

I've never had that impression at all with Hrudey.

There was a game played with an incident involving a couple players from last nights tilt approximately 10 days prior where the on ice officials as well as department of player safety said “there’s nothing here.” Yet a particular fan base along with their media felt otherwise in spite of the review.

Rogers is trying to spend less not more and that probably includes not sending any broadcasters up the road if they can avoid it. I sure hope the rumours are true that they aren't interested in doing Flames regional broadcasts past this season. I'm looking forward to less Rogers stink in Flames broadcasts.

Once again Oilers don't really care about this loss, they're just happy whining about Gio hit and Kassian winning the fight.

Failure of a franchise continues to fail and fans are perfectly content.

They could just take the money out of Gene Principe’s pre-game costume budget.

Didn't expect much to occur last night in the way of extracurricular activities but man was I wrong. Good on Monahan (that scared me to death what with his wrist issues) and good on Tkachuk who held in there but was never in any real danger what with Kassian's stormtrooper like accuracy when throwing punches.

Spoiler!

Now that was a fun game to watch, wow! A spirited BOA game where both teams brought it. I honestly thought it lived up to expectations without the shenanigans the league was keeping an eye out for. Any outside fan who tuned in to see what would happen certainly got an entertaining game!

I thought the Flames brought it early on and should have had a couple more goals with their pressure. Oilers turned in on the 2nd half.

I thought the Oilers actually played one of their best games I've seen them play in a while. Damn Connor McDavid and his videogame speed. Totally not fair for the opposition, but thankfully Rittich came up huuuuuge when it mattered. Other then the 1st goal, Smith wasn't bad either.

Both fights were awesome and I noticed the turtle chants stopped when Tkachuk fought Kassian. Didn't think they would fight at all, but obviously both guys wanted to put it to rest. That should shut the media up for a while about 'answering the bell'.

I thought it was one of the more physical NHL games I've seen in a while. Not a lot of time/space to make plays before someone was on you, but both sides did well. I actually thought Gaudreau had a good game. He set Buddy up and Monahan a couple times with tap-ins and they couldn't convert. If this was last season those go in and suddenly he has a 3 point game. He wasn't as bad as some made him out to be.

Overall a great battle between both sides with some nastiness to it, yet nothing crossed the line. Huge 2 points and let's get 'em again Saturday.

Should be a good night! I'm gonna hang out with 3-4 buddies before hand playing some Nintendo Switch, and then we're gonan watch the game. I'm also gonna drop a fat #### at some point because I had a big Indian/Chinese dinner yesterday and I had Indian buffet for lunch today. I already had two excessive craps yesterday after work, so my pipes are primed and ready to go!

The ATL always has one of these posts...Kudos to Gaskal for diving into that sewer to find these gems.

I sure hope this is true. I'd love to get the Regional TSN Broadcasts like the Jets and Leafs. The production quality is night and day.

I actually think a lot of the criticisms of Hamonic come because he's often the only guy back because Hanifin is up ice, put in a bad spot with a late pass from Hanifin (with forecheckers right on him), or otherwise dealing with Hanifin's gap and positioning.

I think Hamonic does better with a more predictable, by the numbers, partner. Unfortunately, he's ended up with Brodie (at his most unpredictable) and Hanifin, who goes on a frolic of his own fairly often, and his other possibilities are Kylington, who is equally unpredictable or Gio (which would work fine, but Gio needs to be there to support Brodie or Andersson).

Hamonic would work well with a structured and conservative guy who can skate, like say Jaybo, as a defensive pairing.

He may pump the other teams' tires a bit but at least he sees plays how they actually happened, unlike that embarassing circus of a broadcast last night.
