Reminds me of Willie Desjardins.

Any other team and Lucic would be there. Just ask the Big Z.

Then he shouldn't be dressed.

He did it once and there was that other piece of #### Lindholm on the ice at the same time. I suspect what happened is that Tkachuk is sitting in the dressing room, ward put out the Lindholm line because they are the line that matches up with McDavid and rieder filled in for Tkachuk. But just a guess.

Great game!
The Monahan shadow box is the highlight of the season so far.

The turtle storyline dies in its infancy. What are the Edmonton twitter birds going to do with themselves?

Any vids of the no-goal call? Man that looked close. Surprised they reviewed it for only a few seconds.

close. Probably a goal on the overhead.

That was fun, loved seeing Monahan getting feisty and Rittich was awesome.

Also praised his teammate for stepping in so Gagne didn’t have to fight...the same people that DEMANDED Tkachuk fight because he threw an overly aggressive hit.

Remember when regular season games had a lot of this type of intensity?
The new nhl is fun when you have a 5-4 game, but in an 82 game season, man the NHL has lost a lot of its entertainment value given the depletion of intensity and some anger.

It was the right call from all angles shown on tv. There was no white showing. Have no issues with it.

Kassian has to pay for once again taking a shot at a vulnerable player on the ice. He won't answer the bell though because he's gutless.

So if Lucic is unwilling to be physical against the Oilers, let's hope we don't meet in the playoffs. There would be no point in dressing the guy.
He doesn't need to fight but he sure could be a physical force.

A couple points about some comments I've seen in the thread.
Lucic brings us a net benefit because we don't have Neal.
I'm happy Tkachuk is willing to drop them and won't be intimidated. We need more guys with his grit and heart. He's a true leader and as was said before he did it for his teammates. He doesn't need anyone doing his work for him.

I'm excited to see how the Flames come out in the 2nd. It's a really good test and could be a good indicator as to where they are coming out of the break in my opinion. The game is escalating in pace, and they need to respond. I'm specifically looking at Bennett and Backlund to raise their game here in the 2nd.

Reviewed for 3 seconds and only 1 long distance replay that showed the full play broadcasted on Sportsnet. It may be an obvious no goal when you get a good look, but why hasn’t it been shown more than one time? The only closer view they showed cuts short before the end of the play?
