Such a whiner.Go back to the toilet that is the Bundesliga if England is too busy. All PL teams were advised that replays would fall during the mid season break.

Well Christian Eriksen is gone to Inter and apparently Steven Bergwijn is a done deal at around £30 from PSV. Hopefully we bring in a striker in the coming days and a DM. I realise that's asking a lot, but it would be great.
We also made the Gio Lo Celso loan deal permanent, which is awesome. He started slowly, but has improved and on the weekend was pretty clearly our best player.

Sounds like José has already alienated Ndombele, so that's great. I'd like more help at the back before the midfield is further addressed, but both are pretty glaring needs.

Well it kind of makes sense.
Only way he's winning the Ballon d'Or is if he can join that roster and carry them on some miracle run to win the Champions League.

Either of those things happening though feels very unlikely.

probably just in there so that Sporting can say that the fee could rise to 80m.
either way, glad they managed to get it over the line. Doubt they'll get another player in, but I don't understand why they aren't after Piatek. He's available on loan with an option to buy, United really should be all over this.

Does Mourinho rate him? I could see him going to Spurs.

Spurs have been in on him for a couple weeks now (allegedly). The sticking point was that Spurs wanted him on loan with an option to buy, but Milan wanted to just sell him. At least that's what "people" have been saying. This morning I read that they had agreed on a value, and Levy was just trying to add a player into the deal to reduce the fee (which of course is classic Levy, so that sounds about right!)

I really don't know anything about Piatek. His goal celebration is terrible, but to watch him do that at the Emirates for us would make me an instant fan!

nobody because Sky Sports are a terrible source and it's obvious BS. Barcelona are well stocked up front and struggled to find enough cash to sign Griezmann last summer, they aren't going to splash another 100m on a guy like Richarlison.
EDIT: but even if true, I fully understand Everton rejecting this. Other clubs are strengthening this January (Newcastle have brought in Lazaro and Bentaleb, Wolves are bringing in Podence, Sheffield is close to signing Sander Berge and so on and so on), letting your top player leave in these circumstances would be madness.

fine finish by Matic. City still very much in the drivers seat here but at least it's not a bloodbath.

There's no away goal rule, in League Cup, correct?

So only down a goal.

oh well. Never thought they could make a game out of this after that horrendous first half in the first game, so there's that. Can't wait to see Fernandes replace Lingard as soon as possible.
