Edmonton isn't selling out their new building at all, so KLOWE and Katz called up their trained attack dogs and told them to ramp up the rhetoric.
This isn't about hockey, its about selling tickets. I don't doubt that the Oilers management is in Kassian's ear to make something happen during the game.
Next thing you know they'll be hiring ambulances to circle around Rogers Place.

Somewhere the Oiler media has convinced the fan base that Tkachuk and Kassian are the same level of player, which is absurd. Kassian got his licks in Tkachuk so what is the point of another fight? The Oilers want that because it is beneficial to them with that trade off. End of story right there. That is what Tkachuk shouldn't fight Kassian. If they really want him off the ice in a fight, then send Draisaitl.
Oiler fans and media just have no idea how shortsighted they are in this entire fiasco. To Cap's point above, I don't think many Oiler fans looked down on Messier when he got his elbow up and knocked Natress into the following week. The team that had Tikkenen and the original rat Linsemen. They are just pissed it is happening to them and there is nothing they can do about it because Kassian is being played like a fiddle.

Oh its not just Kassian being played. Its all the Oilers media and their fans. Ive watched hockey for a long time with many instigator characters playing in the NHL and never seen such a bizarre situation. It's actually amazing what Matthew has done to the entire Oilers organization and their fan boys.

Didn’t Dry Saddle slew foot Tkachuk and decline a fight with Tkachuk last year? Remember, Chucky lightly jabbed him in the face several times trying to get him to go? Dry Saddle’s gloves were solidly cemented on...
