Ok, so that was pretty dumb, but it could have been worse... Regardless, there's just no way that should be the last event. Should have done it immediately before the women's game and finished with accuracy or hardest shot.

Kinda has to be unless they keep their equipment on.

Do they actually need equipment for any of this? It's always been really weird to me that they need shoulder pads to shoot a puck hard or take a penalty shot.

But fine, then, do it right AFTER the women's game, and only have the players who aren't involved in the remaining competitions take their equipment off during that game and do it.

Going back to the women's game, I wonder if the NHL is testing it out from a variety of angles, from fan perception, to logistics. I personally think the NHL would consider having a two period continuous time women's game played during the intermissions with dual zambonis to flood right after. I don't know how money would be paid, but I'd be willing to bet that that's the route they'd try it. Nobody really has to pony additional funds and it would bring exposure.

Snet execs racing to fill the clips of him winning tonight with something else.
But,also breathing a sigh of relief that his leg, held together by chewing gum, duct tape and whatever other adhesive Dr. Nick and the other Oilers doctor has said will work, made it through the skills competition. That would've been a terrible moment if the much baleyhooed documentary about him surviving and taking bad advice to play through an injury rather then prolonging his career through surgery, preceded the injury reoccuring.

It's be interesting to see the garbage spewed in this to make that decision, from the same medical staff who told Smid to keep playing, even though he couldn't hold his stick due to neck pain, and Souray who they stopped checking on and said he was milking a serious injury.

I could easily see the NHL having womens games before the mens. Have a ticket add on for $10-$20, get people in the stadium earlier eating food and having drinks for an hour or 2 before. And only home games on weekends, wouldn't make sense during the week.

Unfortunately, Shrek is on YTV and I've only seen it five times, so I will have to miss the world premiere.

The last event looked awesome. A few wrinkles but I think it has a ton of potential.

The goalie save streak thing was painful to watch. No creativity shown at all by shooters besides Tkachuk and Hertl.

It should be:
1. Target shooting from above
2. Accuracy shooting from the slot and blue line (one event)
3. Fastest skater
4. Hardest Shot
5. Women's 3-3 w/ 10 min intermission for mascots 3-3
6. Goalies can stay home

Should have had a goalie or two in that shooting from above

He could learn a lot from watching Kane shoot pucks in street shoes at targets from 50 feet in the air? Such a dumb time to take a shot.

Kane is a great player it was a dumb comment with zero relevance to the event being discussed.

Besides Gaudreau would probably own that event like he has the puck control
