Please don't derail the thread. Keep this to post-game discussion. Thanks in advance.

Jankowski in his latest showcase was a big flop. Goal against, he was wearing the horns.

Like a broken record, Flames need someone to replace Backlund on top line. There is zero chemistry on the top line for the longest time since before Ferland caught fire on the top line 3 calendar years ago and after his 1.5, Lindholm last year.

Whatever it takes to win, Rittich didn’t let in a poor one for the first time in 3 or 4 games, and some very good big saves, helping negate the terrible non calls on grabby Leafs in OT specifically.

Was at the game (my first ever in an opposing barn). Everything I can think of was said already other then.... WOW what a brutal call on Bennett. Hit a player with the puck and he gets a tripping? I was scratching my head at that one.

Well I can officially confirm it now, I still hate the shootout.

The last couple of years when we'd complain about the shootout being an awful way to decide a game, we'd hear "that's only because your team isn't good at it, you'd love it if you won them". Now we're 5-0? in the shootout this season, and it still sucks.

Give me 7 minutes of OT at least, if not the full 10 minutes. But also feel free to call penalties on the clear holds and trips that lead to odd man rushes...

What a tight division. Vegas about to win to get to 56 points, and then Vancouver and Arizona play with either Arizona going up two on the Flames or the Canucks also hitting 56 points.

After tonight could be

1. Arizona 57
2. Calgary 57
3. Vegas 56
4 Vancouver 56
5. Edmonton 55

Should Ward change the curve on his stick?

Loved hearing that the Flames are the only team holding Matthews to without a goal. Even better that Rittich wouldn't give him anything despite a couple of perfect chances.

The Flames obviously like it, they were dogging that OT pretty hard to push it to the shootout

At work did not get to see the game, so I hear Rittich played a bit better than ok, and leafs lost because of that week defence, that is so full of holes.
