I was just reading about the oilers fans campaign to raise money for Calgary school lunches... which is a bit weird but end result is good so who cares I guess.

But weirder to me is that Wilson guy who is one of the preds owners and is loud and outspoken on... everything... on the internet pretty much has decided to get involved match the donations just for the oilers one. Good cause but just strikes me as unusual.

Is he a closet oilers fan calgarian?

Tkachuk has done exactly what guys like him do. He's taken the attention of everyone. The best part is he didn't have to pick on a small or weak player to do so. He picked on the biggest guy on that team and hurt his feelings. Hurt his pride. Hurt his ego. All that while taking it in stride. Smart hockey player.

He’s also matching the ALS donations, which is what the Flames fan are doing.

Hitting Tkachuk isn’t the answer. All that does is encourage him to hit you again. He likes that. It’s part of his game. It’s what gets him fired up. But fighting isn’t part of his game, mostly because he’s too valuable a player.

But Gaudreau is different. He doesn’t hit. He doesn’t want to be hit.

So if you’re Kassian, that’s all the more reason to target Gaudreau and leave Tkachuk alone.

Wow is that ever cringy. I dont know what is worse... writing an article that sounds like somebody's drunk uncle ranting after too many or that a newspaper editor approved it.

I agree, hard to feel sorry for the demise of print media when you see stuff like this being run.

Gaudreau is already heavily covered. The tone of the article suggests overtly punitive retribution.

If they go after Johnny, then that opens the way for Rinaldo or Lucic to grab Mcdavid and beat him to death.


Its that simple. But its Kassian's way, he's a gutless coward who's the king of cheap shots and fighting below his weight class.

The league totally messed this up, instead of doing the right thing and suspending a multiple time offender who jumped a player from behind and mugged him and suspending him for enough games to avoid this confrontation, they basically gave Kassian a wink and a smile.


If there are injuries in this game or an incident that's a disgrace to the league and Parros should be fired immediately and Kassian suspended for the rest of the season.

Nope I have no trouble with clean hits on players, like MT hit on Kassian.


I don't have much faith that Kassian won't throw his typical leave the feet head shot or a blindside hit.


Edmonton needs to realize that their lineup is not that tough, and in a battle of physical nasty players Calgary has them outgunned.
