Let’s be honest here this story only had the legs because A) the suspension B) the oilers didn’t skate for 2 days.

So yah the flames played and moved on (or didn’t lol Montreal)

The game on the 29th is going to be so boring.

I gotta laugh at the Oiler fans donating money to charity in Calgary and trying to act morally superior to us.

Don’t get me wrong, donating to charity is great, but when you sign it “from Zack Kassian” it makes your whole reasoning behind it hollow and self-fulfilling.

Oilers were off for 2 days. Pretty simple.

Still think the 29th game will be zero fireworks.

It has legs because the Oilers' media and fans won't stop talking about it. Period.

Hockey Central had Geoff Ward on before the Habs game and of course was asked about the Saturday game. His response was so professional and un-Edmonton like. Two guys battling hard in an important game. Thanks for showing class, Ward.

Meanwhile, Mr. Lebowski isn’t blaming anyone for the loss of his legs.

Are they? It’s great you listen to an oilers employee and an oilers blogger. I’m sure some one cares.

I'm still wondering about that whole turtling incident last year. Do Oiler fans think that they won that exchange in any way, shape or form, when Tkachuk played Kassian like a fiddle(not that it should be too hard)? Also, has Kassian ever made a legal check in his life? Here's a hint: no.

In fairness and objectivity, Tippet himself was classy and great in his response post game as well. About how Kassian should have taken a number instead of doing such in a tie game.

Its all the Oilers and their fan base have, I mean they know their team is pathetic. This whole thing is given their pathetic lives reason.

I mean you look at Staples and his whole "Durrr I'm cleaver with turtlegate". I'm amazed his employers haven't told him he's making an ass out of himself and the paper he writes for.

It had legs because the Oilers media had to find some reason the Oilers lost, other than they are a poorly constructed team.

Enter the Flames don't pay with honour and the "code" was not honoured.

Then you get a bunch of "old school" people jumping on the "honor the code" bandwagon to show how tough they are.

I can't imahine how hard the Flames are laughing at Staples claiming there is a rift in the room based on a Lucic interview. Talk about stretching.

Only the Oilers would canonize a dirtbag like Kassian. Of course if you don't follow the Oilers dogma they cut you off your McDavid access or label you a tier two fan.
