Reminded me of Steve Martin when the rental car bus leaves him stranded in Planes Trains and Automobiles.

I've never seen such an incredible amount of salt from one organization/fan base before. Absolutely hilarious.

"Don't call me 'Son'. I'm an officer, and a lawyer in the United States Navy. And you're suspended two games, you son of a bitch."

Kassian still sounds so angry.

The funny thing is, kassian already tried to take a run at Tkachuk during the game and the boards took the worst of it. He will continue to try and continue to fail.

Amazing. Kaveman logic from a Kaveman fan base about a Kaveman.

It’s definitely the fan base and city that time forgot. There must be no internet, no memory, no self awareness, and certainly absolutely no ability to analyze anything. There is no doubt that the oilers are stoking the fires officially and unofficially. How anyone cannot look at the many, many videos of headshots that Kaveman has delivered and left his feet to deliver them, and even compare them to these three checks, are clearly incapable of any sort of critical thought. Is there no awareness that the illegal parts of the play were repeated blows to the head and two horse collars?

Kaveman:”He probably forgot that the teams are in the same division.”

Huh? They are also in the same province too. It’s flipping Edmonton. What a Kaveman thing to say.

Kaveman fans somehow forget Kaveman, McSorley, ratboy linseman, tikkanen, and all kinds of legitimate crapweasels that played for that joke of a franchise. Unbelievable.

I’m hoping that the “heart and soul” of a leaderless franchise gets a nice Kaveman contract special, a $6 x 6.

And I’m grateful for the further insight into just how poor the quality of Sportsnet really is. It’s pandering on a massive scale and it is clear that it’s the oilers home network now. Good. Let’s get over to TSN.

I’ve had some insight into commentators and former players. How people can be so incapable of fundamental reasoning just speaks volumes to the type of analysis that we have been subjected to over the years.

Kaveman is either going to go ballistic to live up to everything that he is saying, or he will be run out of town for failure to deliver. And I’m still waiting to hear from Kaveman exactly what he thinks MT did wrong.

One final thing; George Parros and his helpers must be brain dead and poor communicators. You let the buffoon spout off like he has done and let him back for the next BOA? Did you not say to Kaveman “listen, you have to stop the misogynistic comments, and any threats show premeditated intent and that doesn’t look good for anyone.”

I really hope that this joke of a franchise never makes the playoffs ever again.

And to answer your question, if Kassian was skating around targetting Lucic I could care less if he wanted to fight after. It's less runs he is taking at our skilled guys and Lucic is enough of a pro to handle it properly.

Of course that won't happen because Kassian likes to fight smaller players.
In the Bertuzzi situation, although the result was a catastrophe, I don't think the intent was the same (I know some will disagree). I don't think Bertuzzi expected the result he did, where as Kassian looked like he was really trying to kill someone.

Bertuzzi was also upset about a teammate and friend actually being injured by a dirty hit. Kassian's only concern was his own pride.

Thinking the Flames should wear green helmets in the game.

Agreed. Bertuzzi was not intending for that result to happen, he was a hockey player first. Zack Kassian is a literal psychopath on skates. If he broke Tkachuk's neck he would celebrate.

Oilers broadcast all talking about how they loved what Kassian did.

Nobody mentions that he cost his team the game. Hilarious.

It's actually unreal. Like the bar for Edmonton players, media and fans was already so low, but somehow they Schruted it to an even lower level.

The organization/media/fans are a literal limbo bar of "how low can you go?"

Kerry Fraser was on a radio show today.
https://www.tsn.ca/radio/montreal-69...rded-1.1427267

Said Kassian should have been assessed 2 and 10 for being the aggressor, and 5 for fighting. Also said Tkachuk should have got 2 for charging.

It's also ridiculously embarrassing that their position is about player safety, just not the part where Kassian jumps a completely unsuspecting player.

Funny thing in the media scrum is that Kassian says he got hit with two borderline hits, and talks about having a great memory for later...he’d forgotten already he got rocked three times in the game.

League said they were clean hits, so did the Oilers coach. The organization has let the media beat writers carry the water and whip an low IQ fan base into a blinding rage and get a handful of randos, retired and otherwise, across the league to agree to validate their point.

Perfect that the Flames don’t stoop to these levels, though it may be hard to avoid now with them in Toronto with all the wanna be shock jock media there wanting to fire off the next hot take.

Finally, don’t forget the game after Jan 29 is the Feb 1 game back here, where we get the last change.

Ok. I could never be bothered to watch an Oilers broadcast, but are you guys telling me they are still talking about this? They're playing Nashville tonight and they're still talking about the game they lost on Saturday?

Even the UFC has banned strikes to the back of the head as they are so dangerous.
