The kind of hits I hate are late. People say "he shouldn't have been admiring his pass". That's bs. The guy's watching the puck after it's gone. Kassian had the puck on each of those occasions and Tkachuk knocked him off it causing a turnover. Great clean hits. And I couldn't care less what anyone on twitter or covering the Oilers or a few Neanderthals who used to play the game have to say about it. Glad to see the suspension I guess. Would have been satisfied for the refs just to make the obvious call of two, five and a game when it happened right in front of them. What a manufactured controversy.

7-0. Talbot shutout, goals by Lucic and Rieder too.

I think it's pretty telling that majority of the fans league wide and ex players are on kassians side on this one... I'll leave it at that.

I didn’t know you were a Canucks fan until that post. So, quite relevant.

Who cares what fans and ex players think
I mean they haven’t shown to be the most objective or sound thinking when it comes to this stuff

Actually do you mind elaborating? Im probably just being bone-headed but its ambiguous to me what argument you are making.

I don't know what the majority opinion on this is after reading about it and listening to people talk about it all day, which in itself should suggest that there is no clear majority opinion outside of the two fanbases that are directly involved.

At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, bottom line is this:
Our boy took advantage of a washed up, 13 goal, "Why are you still in the league" player, secured a win, and now the garbage up north has to look at us as we sit atop the Pacific.

Those people are straight up wrong.
If Kassian didn’t suck at hockey he wouldn’t have been caught like that.
Twice.
I would feel the exact same way if it was Draisaitl who did it to Lucic. Get better at hockey. End of story.

The issue isn't so much that game, it's the next one. There's no "bottom line" when the teams play each other again, twice, in two weeks. Most of the discussion is "okay, now what". That, at least, is my primary concern... guys taking runs back and forth at Gaudreau / McDavid / Monahan / Draisaitl / Gio / etc etc etc.

Help, save, whatever.

All I know is I'll be watching the next game for sure.
Unfortunately these things tend to turn into a whole lotta nothing. These revenge games never deliver. I want blood. BLOOD!!!
