How does an actual hearing go? I'm curious as to what actually happens. I mean the video has been out there, and we've heard the comments and reactions in the media, so it seems like it wouldn't be much of a hearing?

Anybody see the Kassian suspension thread on HF oil?

I've never seen such a collection of salt in all my years. And they're still going at a 10 on the rage scale this morning.

Much of it is hilarious, some of it rather alarming:

It is Zakc Kassian so to get a coherent answer they're likely going to have to get him to point to pictures or show them on the androgynous doll where Tkachuk hurt him.

It definitely should be a suspension. I wouldn’t be surprised if the league takes it “easy” on him and only give him 2 games. The league probably can’t help themselves from considering how everything played out... the flames got a powerplay that won them the game and tkachuk wasn’t injured. I don’t agree with that mentality at all though... they should strictly be looking at the isolated incident and the players history. The context of how the rest of the game played out should have no bearing on the suspension handed down to Kassian. He deserves 5-10 games at least but I know it will be much less than that.

So much toxicity in there too. Oilers really showing how damaged the mental capacity of many of their fans is. They think the best insult they can throw at tkachuk is that he doesnt have any balls, as if there aren't legit women hockey players who aren't better than 90% of the roster they ice in this league.

Dumb thing to say. Kassian is a major POS when it comes to dirty play. Goes back to his junior says. So it's ok to play with him every day, but a guy that threw a few hits is not?

Should have just told the reporter to change the subject.

I'm hoping there's some form of an attempt at explaining how unacceptable this type of monkey behavior is, although that assumes the player can comprehend reason.

I believe he is getting 3 to keep him out of next BOA as they rightfully should. Dude is repeat offender, and shown he can't control himself. The NHL has responsibility to not let this guy go out and do something stupid as it is clear he is of fairly low IQ.

Also, I love going to the BOA games. Right when I start to care less about that goofball team up North, I go to games and have to deal with their fans. Takes me back to schoolyard 80's when an Oiler hat equaled a face wash.
