Tkachuk is so deep in the oiler heads right know its hilarious. The team, media, fans pretty much everyone north of Red Deer wants to kill him.
I imagine he is sitting in a armchair somewhere laughing his ass off. Troll job to the max.

I like that Tkachuk gets him to take stupid penalties. But I do hope that one day he does throw down with him. Turtling is a pretty bad look. Ecspecially to the same guy twice. If your going to play the kind of game Tkachuk does then you have to be prepared to answer for it from time to time.

A player shouldn't have to answer the bell for throwing a clean hit, no matter how many.

Jesus. Enough of this already.
NO. Playing hard within the rules is NOT IN ANY WAY a "bad look." Tkachuk should never have to answer for playing on the edge without going over unless that answer is "Yes" to the question, "Are you a badass, forechecking, puck-distributing god with no equal?"

Still marvelling at caveman’s interview. Saying he may try to catch chucky in a vulnerable position next game. Even if you planned to do that, how stupid do you have to be to tell the world that is your plan? The guy is a few bricks short of a load.
Between the missing teeth, the low IQ and the vacant look on his face most of the time he could easily be in Slapshot.

Complete BS. You need to answer for your transgressions, nothing else. He does not have to throw with a waste of space Kassian for legal hits.
That’s also part of the problem if you want to go all “code” about this (which I actually don’t think there’s even code breaking going on). The Oilers keep trying to get him to go with Kassian. I guarantee, let’s say McD or Drai we’re playing the role of Chuky in reverse, that it wouldn’t be Lucic firing punches at either of them when it’s time to pay the piper so to speak. It would be Gio, or Anderson or something forcing a fight in that situation. He can yammer on about his 13 goals but Kassian is a 4th line plug. Chuky is one of our best players, he doesn’t need to step up and fight a goon, especially for clean hits. If they really want Chuky to dance up North so badly, send a more appropriate dance partner his way.

It was Steve Smith and Carey Wilson's spleen. Hockey kharma hit Smith hard the next game.

Huh? He got grabbed from behind, it was after all a clean hit?? They both have been going at it for awhile both he and Kassian. Why was it okay for Kassian to dish out clean hits but get mad and rag doll when Chucky dished them out?

I’m sure Tkachuk would be more than willing to throw down with Kassian, under different circumstances. What Oilers fans fail to see is that this was a tie game, and you know damn well Tkachuk knew Kassian was going to eventually blow up and do something stupid. If he drops the gloves and starts throwing, he also goes to the penalty box. It was his plan and he stuck to it

Fighting in hockey is against the rules and you get penalized for it. A legal hit is, by definition, legal. By what twisted logic should you have to do something illegal because you did something legal?

One of the best parts for me was Tkachuk had his mouth guard hanging out the whole time. Getting rag dolled and still just chomping away without a care in the world. It’s like when you fall with a beer in your hand and get up afterwards and brag about not spilling a drop!

I agree, he went over the line, then learned how to be effective without being dirty and now plays the peat role to perfection.

Nonsense. Why would a skill guy like Tkachuk fight a cave troll like Kassian? The bad look is Kassian losing his mind. Tkachuck played him hard, owned him 3 times with legal hits, and Kassian came unglued, why should Tkachuk fight him? If McDavid wants to fight Tkachuk, that's different. But the idea that Tkachuk has something to "answer" here is BS. Bad take.

Agreed. Except we shouldn't pretend that Tkachuk is some angel who always plays within the rules. Let's be better than Oiler fans.
The hit on Kassian was clean but Tkachuk is a player that needs to answer the bell on occasion because of the way he plays. He wouldn't disagree with that.
