Some people are gonna lose their ####ing minds when he gets suspended and it will be hilarious
Flames have to move on though...they are in the drivers seat for the division now, forget about the Oilers and go win home ice

100%, Tkachuk went after their toughest guy and embarrassed him, Thank Christ that 1st punch missed, or we could have had a very serious incident.

I honestly dont think he'll be suspended. He might just because hes a repeat offender, but I doubt he gets much. It'll be like 2 games and $2500 and he'll have to pass the licensing exam for a recreational boating license before hes allowed to return.
Who cares? Thankfully Chucky isnt hurt, it cost them the game and once again Edmonton and their fans got their chance to show their quality to the entire league.
Its low. Its the lowest.

That would be a lifetime suspension. An open-book exam doesn't matter when you can't read.

Clean hit on a larger player is gutless opportunistic.
Jersey tackling and headshots from behind on smaller player is heroic Defense.
#### this world is so stupid sometimes.

In the second hit, Tkachuk could have hit Kassian in the numbers, which would have been worse. Tkachuk aftually turns and hits Kassian from the side which sent him flying parallel to the boards as opposed to into the boards.

Pure trolling and click bait article, going against all facts and reason, with the single intention and hope by this schlub that his “hot take” gets him noticed as opposed to continuing to be wallowing in mediocrity as a below average beat reporter.

With all the reactions today, it honestly feels like flames fans vs. the entire NHL of ex-players, media members, commentators, other fans, etc.
Was Tkachuk's hits that egregious compared to Kassian reaction? Feeling like I'm in the bizzaro world.

Totally fine with it. We don't need the Flames to be liked or the nice guys of the league. Tkachuk made clean legal plays, and the Flames won. The rest of the league/media/fans can whine as much as they want to.
Everyone has lost their logic because they know there isn't a legitimate response to how effective Tkachuk is.

there's this blind spot happening with Kassian in terms of the media and even Oiler fans. They use terms about him like warrior and honest player. But frankly the guy is a piece of garbage in terms of his on ice conduct. He constantly charges and throws high hits, and spot picks smaller players. He's a gutless back biting piece of crap.
He's been suspended multiple times and all for over the top hits and intents to injure.
He's not a warrior, he's certainly not an honest player. If he was honest he'd look in the mirror and realize that he's a scumbag.
Next game if he plays, he'll do his typical tough guy glower at the Flames bench and then pee his pants and whine to the bench when a guy like Lucic or Rinaldo says, yeah, man its time to beat your face in.
Oiler fans love a guy that took an amazing 8 game suspension for a really dirty shot on Gagner that broke his face, I'm sure Gagner loves looking across the room at him.
The league needs to bring the hammer down on him, he's trash, he's badly over rated, and he's a dangerous player.
Give him 10 games or more for assault.
And if he plays the next game in the pre game warmup Lucic should tell him, if he even looks at MT, that McDavid will be leaving the game with a busted wrist.

Kassian will get suspended. No doubt. The league would be embarrassed of him going ape#### and then all the misogyny afterwards. This in front of a national audience. Yes, Haggerty, he will be suspended, there is no excuse. My guess, at least 3 games, possibly 4 or 5.
