Good game. Gifted the Oilers a couple goals, but didn't crumble.
Brodie was really good tonight.
When did Kassian become a star player? Him going after Tkachuk is no different than Berube chasing Friesen. Its a goon vs a star player incident, Kassian should get a few games for it. If not, send Rinaldo to rough up McCrossovers.
Brodie has been vintage brodie but even more calculated with the puck. Just outstanding. a number of noticeably smart plays tonight.
I hope we can keep him a couple more years.

After Kassian was out of the box in the 3rd, Chucky got another good clean hit on him and it Kassian looked a little wobbly.
I can't find a gif of that one thought unfortunately.
It may have been the best of the three.
You would’ve assumed after that situation in the second, even a cement head like Kassain would be just waiting for MT to be anywhere within 10 feet of him and have his stick waiting for him at face height, especially if there was going to be a collision, but he got rocked AGAIN.

This is the kind of attitude, should it begin to permeate this team, that could finally have me believing that the Flames are willing to take the next step to move into elite team territory.
In order to go beyond "mediocre", teams have to possess swagger and be willing to back it up. With each game, Andersson seems to be willing to show that he's not only an increasingly valuable asset on-ice, that he's not only willing to stir things up with his swagger, but that he's also willing to go out on the ice and back up his words with his play.
If the Flames are going to rank amongst the best-of-the-best in the NHL, they need to put comparisons to the (c)Oilers in the distant rearview mirror and concentrate on themselves. I am really hopeful that guys like Andersson and Tkachuk continue to be outspoken, on and off the ice, as they take over leadership roles on this team.
Kassian added that Tkachuk refused to fight him last year because he said was a fourth-liner. Kassian said he wants to know what Tkachuk's excuse is now that he has 13 goals.
All but 2 of his goals have been assisted by either McDavid or Draisaitl, or both
