What are you talking about? The Americans occupied and reconstructed Japan, sent an occupation force to China, and was immediately involved in the Korean War.
What does Israel have to do with it?

I am still waiting for one of you to explain why 'we', the US specifically, are still involved massively in the Middle East, either with direct or indirect military involvement, troops, guns planes, sympathetic local stooges and Kings to keep the locals in check, when we gave that up in SE Asia Africa and the America's 50 years or so ago.
If it isn't the massive reserves of Oil why is that?

I don't think that explains it, although it would be convenient, Japan and korea are close to Cambodia and Vietnam, India and Singapore are close to Myanmar but we don't care what any of them get up to and haven't since the fall of the USSR, no the Middle East is the only region we have grimly maintained our controlling interests in since we effectively gave up caring about the rest of the world, (ironically with the fall of the USSR and the 'west' leaving places like Vietnam and Cambodia to their own devices they have stopped disliking us and are now far more friendly then when we bombed the bejeesus out of them!!)

Because of Israel for one. Because by their calculations what replaces unsupported regimes, regardless of how horrible they are, have the potential to be much worse is another. Also they don't want a Sunni and #####e originated cold war occurring between Iran and SA for regional domination. Because the place is a mess, regardless of the original cause, and they deem it will be better if they stay rather than walk away, even if the "better" is pretty bad.
If your logic was correct, we'd have been gone pretty much once OPEC became a thing. So it's clearly more than oil.

We don't care about India and Pakistan, the various border disputes between Cambodia and Thailand or the Sri Lankyan Civil war, the only reason Iran and Saudi Arabia pose a threat is we have armed both sides to the hilt.

I just listed like 5 reasons in the very post you pared that out of. I'm done, you're being purposely obtuse.

So we have picked a side and are drone striking one side or the other, we have sent in troops and are enforcing our view of things?
Or we are just selling both sides weapons and telling them to knock it off occasionally as they blow the hell out of each other?

All of the reasons you listed exist in other areas as I have pointed out, except Israel, and yet we stay the hell out of them, I'm not being purposely obtuse I am just pointing out the Middle East is the only place the West has seen fit to interfere in.

Western interventionism/imperialism is hardly limited to the Middle East, that's silly.

2. Apparently the 1947 UN partition plan which proposed two states, one Jewish and one Palestinian resulted in a “huge tract” of land being stolen from Palestinians. The 1948 armistice lines resulted in a country tiny in area compared to neighboring Arab territory.
3. If a Jewish state should have resulted from the Holocaust, which it seems from that poster is debatable, it certainly should not have been situated in biblical Israel.
4. Following the US action against the Iranian General, Iranian officials specifically stated that further action by the United States would result in attacks by Iran against Haifa and Tel-Aviv. Interesting that this seems totally irrelevant.

Yes, at a vast price to the Pakistani's we also sell India aircraft and Helicopters and various other gear, the UK trains both Pakistani and Indian officers in the UK.
The west is neutral, all we care about is they don't nuke each other
