They mentioned it on the broadcast, but the Vikings didn't get back to Minnesota until Sunday night, and had to play a 1pm PST game on Saturday. They are almost certainly tired right now, so what better time to run it down their throat?

I was kind of kidding, but it's amazing how good a team they are despite their QB basically being an afterthought. Meanwhile everything the Vikings do seems to rely on Cousins being good, and he really isn't today. Probably would have gotten close to a first down by just rushing that one but throws it into a double instead. They really needed a drive there, not a 3 and out.

I think if SF gets points on this drive it's done.

And that'll be game over.

I mean the Vikings currently have under 100 yards of offense and the Niners have double the time of possession. I know you're a Hawks fan but the Niners have dominated this game even if Garoppolo has been poor. This isn't a fluke or undeserved win.

This is how I thought the Vikings would look last week. Having a healthy Dee Ford is making a difference.

Two things can be true at once though. The fumble was huge at the time, and the botched punt return was about to be a 3 and out at the end of the 3rd. Those two good breaks do change the game considerably, regardless of whether you call this a deserved win (which you rightly should).

The thing is that both the Sherman INT and the dropped punt are basically just huge screw ups by Vikings offensive players, which isn't luck. The SF D has been outstanding but the Vikings have been quite good except for where it counts most: Cousins and Cook.

Cousins needed to step up in that pocket.

The fact that they know for a fact what play is about to be called and he still gets 8 yards on first down suggests that the Vikings have conceded.

Dominated in their last two playoff losses. The 49ers took away the run and the Vikings offense just packed their bags and went home.

I actually thought the opposite would happen - that the Vikings would take away the run game and leave the ball in Jimmy's hands, only to have him screw it up, while Cook would be able to do enough damage to open things up for Cousins to use the tools he has.

So yeah, I'm 0/5, and I went out on a limb picking the titans... by the end of the night I could be more than halfway to a clean sweep.

Agreed, SF has earned the win and they got most of the breaks in this game. As Corsi said, both things can be true.

Loubo and Arash Madani , both big Vikings fans, hammering Cousins on Twitter.

No doubt the Niners got breaks but they didn’t matter. That was a pretty thorough curb stomping.

I dont think it matters who wins tomorrow, that niners team will beat either one at home.

Completely dominant game by that defense and Jimmy G did more than enough on his end.

Minnesota finished with 147 net yards on offense. Incredible.

Not if I pick them, they won't!

Which seems unnecessary. The pick is on Theilen and their offensive line got smoked. I’d love to trash Cousins but he deserves little to no blame today.
