Great sequence by Ryan. Behind the net defensive play and instantly back up for the transition out of the zone with speed.

The war room would have stopped play via horn if it went in by now.

They need to wake up and work harder or they are going to lose! Argh!

I think that’s three that snuck through Talbot’s five hole and just missed...good to get some breaks. First half of the season those are in the back of the net

I really would like to see the Gaudreau/Monahan/Backlund experiment end. I think Backlund is better as a depth centre and that Gaudreau and Monahan need an up-tempo winger who will hustle on both ends.

Maybe something like...

Tkachuk Lindholm Mangiapane
Gaudreau Monahan Dube
Lucic Ryan Bennett
Rieder Backlund Rinaldo

I dunno. But man, 13/23/11 spend way too much time in their own defensive end for my liking...

Really wish that shift ended in a goal. That was impressive.

Should have a Patrick Stewart “make it so” meme with a frog head photoshopped in

I agree, Backlund is not a good fit. I would like to see Bennett get a shot for an extended period of time in that spot.

Bennett is so frustrating, he looks like he should be so much better but just isn't

Rinaldo has more hockey sense than Jankowski and it's not even close.

I would too, but I fear that Bennett is too slow with the puck to play with those guys. Lately, Bennett seems to want to overhandle the puck, especially in the offensive zone. And he doesn't have Ferland's shot, so...

I mean, I don't know what the answer is, other than to target another top-six RW, as many people have asserted on this very board. (I still think the Flames need another solid-yet-mobile defensive defenceman as well, but maybe the greater need is the F, given a possible near top-four of Andersson, Kylington, Hanafin and Valimaki...)
