I am at work today. It is not quiet.
Hopefully a simple Game Day Thread will bring about a simple win.

Play hard. Hit. Shoot. Save. Score. Repeat.

Go Flames Go.

The streak continues NOW

Start Talbot tonight, give Rittich the Oilers on Saturday.

This is too much Minnesota in a short time. Finish them off and let's move on.

I vote to give Talbot tonight and Saturday, Rittich has looked a little worn out lately IMO and Talbot has looked sharp, might as well ride him for a few games.

Looking forward to going undefeated in this decade.

However, getting a win tonight would be good enough for now.

GFG!

I'm so sick of Minnesota already. Hopefully this is the last meeting of the season.

I agree with Toonage. Talbot tonight, and Rittich v. Edmonton against whom he has always been great. After Saturday there are only three more games in seven nights before the break, so I don’t worry so much at this point about Rittich’s fatigue. The Flames are off from 19–27 January.

Talbot has earned a start against the Oilers if he wants it.

Given how well Rittich played the Oilers in Edmonton I personally would be surprised if he didn't get the call for that one.

Given how Talbot has outplayed Rittich for the better part of a month I would be surprised if they didn’t let him play a revenge game against his former team.

Seeing the Wild again is bringing back memories of having to play that Lemaire Wild team 8 times a season...that was not fun.

The amount of people who write off Rittichs full body of work is odd. Fans are a fickle bunch I guess. Rittich is our number 1. Maintaining goalie confidence is very important I hated the “win and your in” mentality we’ve had in the past. Talbot has regained his confidence and we can trust him to come in and win games however we don’t need to start a controversy. Rittich last game although he battled it he won. You go back to your starter here. Play Rittich tonight and Saturday and give Talbot Tuesday. We don’t have to be having goalie controversy going into playoffs flip flopping goalies over bad performances. If Rittich gets sunk tonight then maybe you consider giving Talbot the next two. But you let your starter back in tonight IMO.

At that time the Flames played the Wild very well. The games were boring as sin but you could usually expect 2 points by the end of it.

Iggy was a notorious Wild killer, IIRC.

These next 5 games are crucial going into the break. I am really hoping for 4 wins minimum.
