My football worlds are colliding... Packers could use a guy who doesn't drop the ball though!

Per Mark Stephen, the Stamps have traded Arbuckle to Ottawa for a conditional pick.

The Calgary Stampeders have traded quarterback Nick Arbuckle to the Ottawa Redblacks for a third-round pick, according to TSN's AJ Jakubec.https://www.thescore.com/cfl/news/1919577 |

REDBLACKS have acquired QB Nick Arbuckle from Calgary for a 3rd round pick. Conditional pick to follow if Ottawa is able to sign him.

Best wishes to Tre as I think we have seen the last of him in the CFL.

I was actually thinking today if anything was brewing on the Arbuckle front. Not much as he was still a member of the Stamps, but obviously this changes things -- he's now free to extend with the Redblacks. Hope it works out for him as he seems like a good guy.

EDIT: For some reason I thought Dinwiddie was with Ottawa, not Toronto.

Good on the Stamps for letting him go. Couldn't imagine a scenario where they would make him play out his final year.

Arbuckle to Ottawa is a great deal for them. I think the guy is a rising star and he may be the next one.

Good deal for the stamps too as he wasn’t going to re-sign here given lackof playing time. Wonder if the stamps gave any thought to trading Mitchell and keeping Arbuckle, but reworked the contract instead. I personally don’t think Arbuckle is going to be great, so I’m glad they kept Bo. Excited to see what Cozart can do this year if he earns the #2 spot.

I doubt there was much thought. Bo is our QB and deserves the shot at guiding this team to another cup.

The six-foot-one, 213-pound QB was sent to Ottawa in exchange for a third-round choice, but the deal included a conditional pick. If the pivot signs a contract extension, the Redblacks must send Calgary the first overall pick in the 2020 CFL draft. The Stampeders would ship their first-round pick — sixth overall — back to Ottawa.

So a 1st overall and a 3rd for 6th overall and a guy that was never going to be here beyond this last season?
 Yeah...that works.

Hopefully they find the next great Canadian running back or LB with it. Such a ratio smasher to get great players in those two positions.

Well I have a Mitchell jersey and it will probably be the last CFL player jersey I buy. From year to year it's starting to feel like Bo and a bunch of newly assembled players. I'm glad a lot of players are getting their dream opportunities to play in the NFL but man it makes it hard as a CFL fan to see most of the league's best players leave year after year.

The last decade plus has seen complete and utter Stampeder dominance. Just imagine how domiant they would have been if they didn't continue to get raped and pillaged by the NFL and the rest of the CFL as well due to the salary cap.
