This last decade was just...disappointing. We screwed up our rebuild.
As much as we poke fun at the Oilers, the Flames haven't been much better.

Calgary Flames are one of the worst franchises in the NHL since '89. The franchise in general is broken. Who knows when the Flames will ever have a period of years where they can legitimately contend for the cup once again. Only had a small blip for 04-07 (which is debatable), and last year was a fluke.

This franchise has a long history of continued mediocrity.

4 - 0 Hawks. I would go to the locker room after the game and tell them they asked to stay together. But since they have done sweet nothing with their "brotherhood", everything is off the table. Including not being sent to Siberia.

Agreed, then maybe we’d lose by fewer goals.

Players didn’t play like this for the previous coach. Certainly not last season but not even this season when they struggled out the gate.
I don’t think Ward has what it takes for this team, there’s a reason BT got a no nonsense coach in BP after a players coach in GG.

I wonder if a GM focuses on a player during a game and just concludes that’s it I’m done with this guy. Hoping Tre is watching Backlund.

Now is the time for patience though, a brilliant GM like Brad Treliving is not going to give up one of these studs on the ice without getting his asking price for them. You do not spend 6 years building a team like this to just tear it apart without getting top value for all of these beauties.

Kane trying to force the puck to Sikura, to get the kid his 1st NHL goal. 40 plus games in the league, so far.

Really stupid coaching regarding the goaltending these last two games. You say you want to give Talbot more games. The Canucks game is a good opportunity to do so. Instead Rittich has a bad game and then you give him the next one and he's no better. Stupid #### like this doesn't make me want Ward to be brought back next season.

Treliving is as good a gm as the team he's put together over the 5 years of the tenure. We all cheer for the team and hence the manager, but he's pretty damn overrated here.

Well, Bennett playing as well as the Flames “top” 4 forwards.

The “top” 4 have a shot apiece with Tkachuk and Lindy each sporting a -3.

(3 shots last shift)

Back to classic lines.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm.
3M line.

Better than what we had before, at least this is a 1st line that can actually play like one (at times).
