I still feel like we win this one. Just need a little more urgency.

NHL scheduled a gift wrapped win for Minnesota. Flames look dead after flying and playing in under 24 hours.

I missed the first. Did the Flames look this lazy in the first?

If this horrible 5v5 play under Geoff Ward continues, I'm going to lose a lot of faith in Treliving if he decides to keep him as Head Coach.
The Flames' 8-2-1 record under Ward is not indicative of their play at all.

Agreed. Minnesota looks terrible. If Calgary decides to play hockey they'll win. But that looks like a big if right now.

You said this in the last game thread. Please point to a win they didn’t deserve.

No. Just your A-Typical Flames 2nd period. They were better in the 1st. Not much better, but better

They aren't lazy. They are tired. Boring Wild. Boring arena. Hard to get going. Gift wrapped game for sure.

The Flames have only scored 20 goals in Talbot's 11 games, and that includes two games in which they scored 5 goals and 4 goals.
That's 11 goals in the remaining 9 games. Not good.

The Flames are out of gas, motivation and determination to play hockey after last night's big win. It could have been 3-0 if not for Talbot.

They also have 10 shots right now.

Well, JG set up Backlund in the slot early in the period with a great chance that last year, Lindholm scores or two years ago Ferland scores. Backlund didn’t even get a shot away.
Said time and again that JG needs a finisher.
Backlund is not that player, that’s more than clear.
That goal goes in and the entire game complexion changes and thenWild wouldn’t be leading now.
