Jesus,so many times we’ve failed to get the shot away while right in. Then when we do, it’s wide, high and high and wide.

Either way we've been bunk and took a bad penalty in the resultant 4 on 4.

I don’t care enough to take a video to show you. It’s clearly not possession.

I love a good ‘let’s blame the refs’ bad call but this ain’t one.

Weird call aside. The real reason the Flames are down is because of Reimer. He’s activated god mode today.

So buddy needs to tag up outside the blue line with one skate. By the time he does this, the other buddy also needs to still have a foot outside the blue line. This doesn't happen.

This is going to be 3-0. Nothing going the Flames' way today.

He’s kind of like the Pronman of defensemen evaluations. He’s literally blind to the useful things defensive defensemen do

You seem to care quite a bit. I’ve watched it lots of times. He had possession, IMO. If it was a delayed penalty, it would have been blown down for possession.

This is it, argument is not about possession, both players needed to simultaneously be outside the zone in order to "clear" under the rules.
Even if Gauther didn't have possession, if puck and him enter while McGinn is offside, he needs to then tag up himself and both players have to be outside the zone at the same time before the offside is cleared.

Edit* quote not working, GullFoss has it

Flames look a bit gassed, 4th game in 6 days which also had travel, think they’re really feeling it now.

One guy can't go back (McGinn) and tag up while the other stays in the zone (Gauthier).
 |
Agree. But that is not what happened here. Gauthier tags up before McGinn enters the zone to pursue the puck he had just chipped in.
