He didn’t “bring it in”. He chipped it in and guy in the middle tagged.

LOL Sportsnet not even playing the replay long enough to see McGinn supposedly tag up.

Now the NHL war room is making stuff up to justify its incompetent and/or biased officiating? And they’ve even told Burke to spout a bunch of nonsense? The pre-post Wideman numbers don’t lie. This is not to say that it’s intentional or a conspiracy, but it’s equally true that other teams get the benefit of questionable calls much more than the Flames. And the league knows it or wouldn’t be making stuff up to cover its collective ass.

Are they now saying Gauthier didn’t have control of the puck before the tag up? Because he did. He chips in, he’s the only guy with the puck. Just because it wasn’t on his stick 100% of the time doesn’t mean he doesn’t have possession.

Wow. That actually is the right call. Good on the posters who went full “12 angry men” and stuck to their guns.

			Why are we blaming Janko?
If I saw the puck come out of the zone I'd bolt too.

After looking at those other angles man I think I was wrong. I think it's a good call. Really really close though.

Not sure what you mean? The puck was not on his stick. He chipped it in.

Onside/offside depends on if you see the Canes player as in control of the puck or not.

When he smacks the puck back in, its a delayed offside but they don't touch it until both players tagged up. That's a good call. |
Unfortunately you are right, this was onside. Nuts, I was convinced it was offside.

Whether it was a blown call or not it doesn’t change the fact that this should be the last NHL game Janko plays.

It doesn't matter that he's offside when the puck re-enters the zone, it only matters when a Hurricane touches the puck inside the zone, which occurs after both players had tagged up.
