I personally hate the constant crying about the refereeing here but I'll be damned if that wasnt offside. Clear as day.
Like it was so obvious you could use that as evidence of corruption in a case against the refs who are take money.
What's the point of video review if that's the end result.

The official explanation is that a Flames player brought the puck back into the zone, which is completely wrong.

You are wrong. Used time code to watch close shot and the wide. He was about a foot offside. It's not even close.

When you have a replay how the #### do you miss something so ####ing blatantly obvious?
You literally have all the time in the world to review it. They took less than 30 seconds. And then they got it wrong? These dumb ####s should be fired.

Sorry should have said review, not ref. But either way the linesman screwed up the call. You can see him watching the puck come out of the zone and he still waives off the offside.

McGinn never even got to the line before turning back to the play.
ETA: he didn’t tag because he didn’t even see the puck go out, so he didn’t think he had to.

The play happened fast in real time.
This is 100% on the video review team.
They took five seconds to review it.
