According to Sagarin rankings at USA today, Flames have had the 4th hardest schedule in the league so far.
The Oilers? 28th hardest schedule

Watching the "Milestone" pucks being handed out, I'm sure some of them were for relatively small accomplishments. I suspect it was a Ward team-building thing. You can achieve individual success within the context of team success. Lucic's been around... he knew what Ward was doing.

Flames still have only played 14 home games vs 19 away games.

If the flames do make the playoffs this season. I feel alot better with Tkachuk, Bennett, Lucic and Rinaldo. Even if they lose, the other teams not going to get out of it unscathed.

Oh we are 100% making the playoffs with our crappy division. We still need more grit though if we want to win a playoff game. Wish we would have kept Hathaway.

About half the time (every other year), often in weaker divisions.
In 2011-2012, the Panthers won their division with a -24. That same year, Calgary missed the playoffs with a -24, and Montreal came in 28th with a -14.
