Monahan with some unspoken shade at Peters. “Fun to play now”.

I caught this. Very telling.

“Right now we’re coming to the rink with smiles on our faces and we’re having fun in practice and now we’re playing the right way”

Forgive me if it’s not exact.

Remember the talk of tanking for the draft.

Those were fun days last month.

To lazy to go look it up, but would like to quote the guy that said "Flames are going to win this". Most lines looked good, Frolik and Rieder looked pretty good.

If the Peters situation doesn't happen we probably still be talking about the draft.

Hands up if you thought the Flames would put up 5 goals on the road in Denver.

That was extremely satisfying. I hate Zadorov.

That was a very dominant OT by the Flames, which i didn’t expect. The only Avs pressure was when Hanifin lost the puck and, unfortunately, his stick as well (with the long change to boot).

Lines had really good balance.

And we're finally seeing Tkachuk-Lindholm.... no idea why Peters was too stubborn to roll with that when it made so much sense.

Not buying that. Before peters thing, the flames were showing signs of things turning. Got 3 of 4 points after that players only meeting.

No way to know for sure either way though but I’m not putting this recent run all On the fact that Peters is done.

Yeah that was pretty much it.

I think this was on Treliving and Peters, and even the fans in some way.. Last years playoff failure was leaving a dark cloud over this team and the coach and GM were really grinding on the guys. Plus even as fans you could feel the negative energy in the dome as we were waiting for something to go wrong.

Then once the Peters issue broke it kind of took the pressure off the guys and gave them a fresh start. The focus wasn’t on the on ice struggles or the playoff failure anymore.

Ward leaned into the fresh start with stuff like music in practice and with his new lines, and now we are seeing the results on the ice.

Too bad Fox didn't want to play here, Tkachuk, Dube, Fox in the consecutive rounds of 2016 is a super impressive credit by the Flames

He’s been put in a good combo, too. I think all three on his line have high hockey IQ but bring different elements.
