Huge win, and i don’t think you can take away any of it with Grubauer out because Francouz has great numbers and played well. Off night by Rittich but he’s allowed with the season he’s had so far and the rest of the team bailed him out. Huge game by Monahan and Giordano. No one really sticks out in a bad way throughout the roster. I hate Mackinnon, he is so good. Geoff Ward era remains a perfect 5-0. Don’t miss you at all Bill.

I honestly believe the mistake the Flames have made in the past is not giving guys time with skilled players to help them continue to develop after they had success in the AHL.
Sometimes you actually need to let guys grow with other top 9 players to prove they are top 9 players.

I really like how Ward is working the line combos. Mixing and matching and finding combinations that click without being locked into a pattern. For example I really like how he has put Monahan and Backlund together a bunch. It's a small sample size, but it's very different from the Peters blender.
