Two goals for Luke Philp.
Justin Kirkland scored in the last minute to time it up.
Gawdin and Robinson with the other markers.
Game summary here.
Figures the game that we couldn’t attend, the Heat win it in OT.
Glad to hear it and thanks Reggie!

All I can get
Philp's an interesting player. The obvious comparable is Derek Ryan (minus the European stint). A role player, but useful nonetheless.
Philadelphia and Toronto were both interested in him at one point.

So, what have the Stockton Heat forward lines and defensive pairings been looking like recently?

Phillips keeps stacking up the points as well. 21 in 20. Big development steps from him

Quine is all over the score sheet since being demoted. He has 12 points in 9 games, and hit the score sheet in 7 of the 9.

I would much rather give Phillips, Gawdin, or Quine a shot... rather than crappy performers like Jankowski, Rieder, and Frolik.

Ontario up 3-0 in the first period. Lance Bouma with one.
Gillies gives up three on five shots, including two 30 seconds apart. Zagidulin takes over.

Didn't Bouma play a similar role as Hathaway? what are your guys thoughts on bringing him back to the Flames organization, where he had is most successful seasons? could be a cheap role player.

For what it's worth (I know I know!) just for listening in, Stockton's PBP guy said Zagidulin's saves were some of the best he's seen all season.

Philp and Phillips scored in the second but that was it, Heat lose 3-2. Zag holds the fort after the 1st.

Didn't Phillips start the AHL with no points in his first 20 games? Since then he's scored at a PPG clip, and has gone from seeming destined for the "dead prospects" bin, to now tracking towards a 2nd line player with 25 points in 21 games as a 21 year old. He's had an amazing calendar year.

Phillips is the one prospect I’m most excited about as I’ve followed him since his draft year and have rooted for him the whole way. I can’t help but think he would have mad, mad chemistry on a line with Tkachuk and Lindholm and look forward to the day he gets his first call up!
