Dube has the potential to be really, really good. The vision and pass on the Ronaldo goal and the speed to split the D on his goal were great.

Was worried after the poor start- but the flames pulled it out. Gaudreau, lucic and talbot, among others, had good games.
It’s a win so i’ll take it, but hate that a few plugs on LA get some free shots on Jonny with no repercussion. The big caveman mcdermid after the goal, some guy I have never heard of (walker?) giving him a free shot after the play late. It’s a one goal game so you can’t goon it up. Take the number I guess for next game?

Rinaldo gives a great interview. Talking about "his son" Dube to start.

Nice to see Dube breaking out. I have big hopes for him, he's got tons of talent and ability.

Sure didn't seem like he was getting much of and opportunity under Peters.

The rinaldo hit was clean IMO.
Moreover, what isnt being talked about enough is how this is the result of another titanic failure of NHL reffing (happened way too many times to the flames this season.) That hit NEVER happens if the refs do their job and call a penalty on macdiarmid for his late hit on johnny.

You want to make the NHL better/safer? The key is not to change hitting, it's to clean out and revolutionize the reffing core. I'd like to see them done away with entirely using tech but at the very least fire every existing ref and start fresh.

There is not one single referee in the NHL that is worthy of respect. They're all total trash. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out they have an organized betting ring among them.

I really like Rinaldo, love his attitude and energy. Can't believe I just said that.

if that was a launch - how come the hit against Mangiapane didnt warrrant a suspension.

left his feet
Principal point of contact was the head

If Rinaldo gets a suspension for that then its because of his reputation

Good to see Lucic game coming around. Take him on the 3rd line over Neal any day of the week. The player that I'm really impressed with right now is Ryan. He is playing great hockey. We talk about all the bad signings that Tre does on July 1st, but he should get credit for Ryan signing.

It’s hard to tell from the camera angle (unfortunately the one camera at ice level is blocked by the stanchion) but Rinaldo is 5’10 whil Prokhorkin is 6’3. Prokhorkin is bent over slightly but that’s still a lot of ground to make up if you’re going to argue the principal point of contact is shoulder to head (Rinaldo does end up on his toes but never leaves his feet, even driving through the hit).

To me it looked like he got his hands up high and could have almost been a buttend. But the angles are not the best.

How the hell would an Oiler fan know?
Oilers fans know about consistency. A team doesn't get three consecutive first overall draft picks without it.

Maybe we should do a CP group buy.

That scoreline totally flatters the kings, the flames were by far the better team and deserved the win, hands down. You can really see the team starting to get their vibe back and I think the new lines are part of that.
Whilst Lucic maybe overpaid he is still worth fair more to this team than Neil ever provided. If you watch his shifts, he works hard, is protecting the puck and, whilst not the fastest skater, he works his butt off to get back when play is going back towards the flames end. To me any goals he scores is just gravy.

Not impressed by Eat Bread at the moment, seems to lose the puck a lot but I am sure he will improve.

Talbot played a great game, despite the two early goals, neither of which he had any chance on. I really think he should be getting into more games.

As long as we keep rolling like this we will be passed the Oilers soon as the continue to flounder.
