It’s hard to sometimes know what’s real and what I’m imagining

Check out Dr. Bach’s 38 flower essences for healing. They may help you cope with the lesser ailments.

You should never feel like you're a drain on the system if you're dealing with a serious ailment. Thinking you have something wrong with you can be just as bad (or in some cases worse) as having something wrong with you if it's a disorder.

Typically hypochondria is the manifestation of untreated anxiety.

Same. One time I had strep throat and pneumonia at the same time, wrote it off as a cold until the back of my throat literally turned black.

I'm a freakin' idiot.

At least you're aware of it.
I've treated a lot of people who seem to want to be injured and sick. By far the most frustrating people to treat.

Well there was one time a few years back where I had a bad cough, but thought I would get over it, and sat on it until I started coughing up blood.

There was another time where I had a really bad flu, Thought I would do the typical thing, my girl friend kept telling me to see a doctor, but I was like, its a freaking flu. Then she came home and I was on the floor and ended up taking a delirious ambulance ride and had a nice conversation with the devil.

I lied to a doctor after I suffered a major concussion because I was terrified of what he would say. No sir, I'm not nauseous, and not throwing up. Spots on my vision, no sir, just a bit of a head ache.

I've never had a gauge on real bad, frankly I hate going to doctors, and I hate hospitals and do anything I can do to avoid them.

Yeah same here, I once taped 2 fingers together because I broke one wrestling and didn't want to miss my 3rd day of work at a new job for what I thought was just a stupid finger, man was I wrong, It's freaky how a little finger can cause so much pain and ruin your day, boss found out, asked me if I was stupid and sent me to the hospital.

I once had a roommate that had the flu at least 4 times a year so yeah, since that's impossible I figure he was sort of a hypochondriac

So I've been on both extremes. I used to be like this. I'd get frequent nausea and stomach pain and just chock it up to being a wimp. Then I got diagnosed with Crohn's disease and they told me I was in danger of losing chunks of my digestive track and now I freak out over every little thing. Also doesn't help that I'm on immunosuppressing drugs which can cause a bunch of weird ####. Ive already had a bunch of weird infections/diseases that most people my age don't get. Also why I have an extra seething hatred for anti-vaxxers.

Also the reason I sometimes disappear for a few days at a time or can be kind of a flippant dick to people here. I don't actually have any real animosity to most of the posters here but often I'm dealing with physical symptoms from the Crohn's BS or mental symptoms from the mood disorders I have. Might be over sharing a bit a here but I do sometimes worry about my tone.

Always better to be safe than sorry! Go to the Doctor!
I have personal experience of a friend who just thought he had a flu he couldn’t shake and did not go, with a tragic result.

I ignored a lot of things and it ended up with having to have heart surgery, that was kind of bad I guess.
