Pick up the pace going forward and the stupid kings should slow down.

Big goal by Looch.

I hope Ward is reminding the entire team they can't just let the Kings screen Talbot all night. Tough to stop what you can't see.

Milan Lucic, since I bought his t-shirt:

1.33 GP, 2 goals

Havent read this thread yet but post 1st period thoughts:
No chance for Talbot on those two goals. Kopitar with a laser beam and Doughty with a sneaky angle shift on his stick strafing the line was slick.

Loooooooooooocchhhh!!

Team was asleep before that goal. Bad positioning not moving feet etc.

Johnny's play is still bugging me.

Thought the Flames were the better team that period. Clean up the PK and we’ll be fine.

How can anyone question the calls against Reider and Backlund? Both are lazy and undisciplined penalties.

Congrats to Milan Lucic for scoring his 200th career goal!

Imagine what might happen if you bought the jersey. You should really consider making that purchase.

I thought the Reider penalty was a bit weak but the Backlund slash is getting called almost every time.

Doughty taunting the crowd after scoring was pretty unprofessional.

I went to a Winnipeg Goldeyes (independent pro league) baseball game this summer where we just mercilessly heckled the opposing first baseman. He never even glanced at us. And that guy might have made a $200 that night.

In my opinion, that's the way it's supposed to be.

Because some of us are still emotional sport fans. It's fun.

Both were fine, but Monahan got hooked causing us to lose the zone earlier which wasn't called.

Surprised the Rieder penalty was called after that more blatant infraction wasn't.

Two goals for Luke Philp after two periods vs. Bakersfield. Heat up 6-3.

Quine, Phillips, Kirkland, Robinson with a goal each.

Philp is on a hot streak.

Sure enough, Mark Jankowski is a scratch and the Kings strike for two PP goals in the first period, the goals coming six and 13 seconds into their two man-advantages. The context to that is when he's in the line-up, the Flames almost always open a PK with Jankowski and Lindholm.

Not entirely in agreement as both goals seemed to have stemmed from the D leaving a man in front uncontested to screen Talbot.

One can be emotional and still be reasonable AND still have fun.

It's strange. I wouldn't want one of the Flames to do it, but I love that Drew Poughty makes me hate him. Game is way more fun, and it will be that much sweeter when they put these dummies down for the count.
