Having not played since Saturday, a line mixing puree and a media frenzy hangover, I thought that period was pretty darned good.

I like that 3 lines were affected by the puree and the guys with no future in CGY line stayed intact.

I noticed Gaudreau was on a shift with Monahan & Backlund at the end of the period, but I hope he goes back to Lucic & Ryan for the 2nd again.

Are....are the Flames in the basement? Like, so in the basement we shouldn't trade for Hall and keep our 1st and draft Byfield?

Maybe not the very basement but they are down there after finishing 2nd overall last season. They should be pissed. I"ll give them another month before any loser tanking talk though

He was also up with Lindholm and Tkachuk once too I think they’re double shifting him after his goal.

You’ll see him in spot duty on the Lindholm and Monahan lines.

Part of what they are trying to do here is get him away from the other teams top lines and make it harder to defend him.

He’s still going to play more minutes than Ryan and Lucic so part of that is getting him out there on other lines when they can.

Yeah he has seemed really somber in interviews as well, including today. Hopefully whatever is bothering him clears up soon.
