I understand there are consequences to actions, but jesus, apparently you're never allowed to work again if you make a mistake.

The right move. It will be interesting to see how guys like Lindholm and Hanifin perform now that they will have a different coach for the first time in the NHL.

And so it begins. I'm worried my speakers are going to explode once they fix the sound.

Must have been a settlement. That's good, doesn't have to drag out forever.

The fact he is being fired for actions that occurred a long time ago at another job? (Not absolving him)
Obviously he'll work again, but this whole cancel culture is garbage. I certainly don't blame the Flames for firing him though, they literally have nothing to gain by taking his side and giving him a second chance and forgiveness (like they should). Hopefully this trend is over soon.

Apart from just using buzz words like cancel culture, can you outline why you think this is actually bad?

Since he resigned, they don't have to pay him?
I wonder if they dragged it on under the guise of getting it right, because they knew they couldn't fire him with just cause, and therefor they played chess and let him resign. Not that they weren't trying to make sure they had everything right and were sitting around, just that they realized they couldn't get what they wanted without him quitting.
Or is that all moot and Bill resigned, but there is a settlement?
I wonder if we'll find out.

Everything about this rubs me the wrong way. From what Peters did to how Aliu handled it to the social media cancel culture.
The world we live in today... I'm sure glad I'm not in a professional position of social influence.

Treliving says he took a lot of heat on the timing, but it's clear he handled things exactly as they should - with full diligence.
