Bye-Bye Billy Babcock!
Hopefully the team starts having fun and more players get out of their current funk.

Geoff Ward is the first Flames coach to win his first game on the job since Brent Sutter on October 1, 2009, a 5-3 win over Vancouver

The following players were excellent to tonight:
David Rittich
TJ Brodie
Matthew Tkachuk
Elias Lindholm
Was it the prettiest win? Hahaha... no.
But damn was that the most entertaining night of hockey this season.

Elias wasn’t excellent. He had great moments but he was also a train wreck a couple times.
Yes to the rest. Plus Mangiapane. And maybe Ryan.

Rittich the obvious first star, but what a huge game from Brodie - 21:04 TOI, 1+1, +3

Great win after a day full of distractions and controversy surrounding the organization.
I don't care what anyone says about the nickname, that was a straight up Big Dick Rittich performance. What a save on Eichel in OT right before Lindholm scored. The guy is pure clutch. Is anyone ever going to give Jordan Sigalet any credit? Or is his name only brought up when the goalie sucks?
Have to give the Sabres credit, they looked a lot faster then I remember. As a hockey fan, that was a damn entertaining game! Still can't stand Jimmy Feces or hearing his name.
Gaudreau looks like he's still fighting it. Did that damn short side shot that never works at least twice. And I honestly think that TJ Brodie's last 2 games have been his best stretch since Hartley was coach. He looked incredible tonight with some huge defensive plays. More of that please!
Interesting to hear that Peters isn't on the Charter flight, but that makes sense. I was actually wondering if the team would give him a courtesy ride home or would that be too awkward.

Buffalo is not a good hockey team.
Buffalo largely dominated the Flames.
Flames should run out of town with those two points before the cops are called.
Crazy 48 hours so full marks for getting the two points, but can we please stop passing directly to the opposition? Jeez, it was probably double digits today of beautiful passes directly to the opposition, several that lead to incredible chances (including the SH goal). If not for BSD this is another blow out.
Get your **** together Flames!!

I couldn’t catch the last 10 min of the 3rd and OT, happy to see the result.
But, man oh man, that was probably Hanifin’s worst game as a flame.

I think you may want to relook at the nickname you gave Big Save Dave, then take the necessary steps in changing your autocorrect settings. Maybe deleting history... Hahahaha

Abso-fricken-lutely. Tkachuk- Lindholm-Mangi top line. Johnny and Mony are just offense black holes right now. I’m sure they’ll turn it around eventually but we can’t rely on them to win us games right now.
