So now that this has been corroborated he's pretty much done isn't he... I mean the Flames are probably documenting and looking at whether or not they can pursue dismissal with cause but I don't see how he can go on and resume his post after this.

Wow... what a huge and sudden shift for the Flames

Interesting that it seems to be Ward stepping in as interim, would have thought it would be Huska.

They've both been head coaches at lower levels, but Ward has the age and NHL coaching experience over Huska. And he has a ring as an AC.

Why would you assume it would be Huska? Ward is the Associate Coach. He has always been the #2 guy on the bench.

Ward is also the current Associate coach, with Huska being an assistant, whatever that means.

Associate > assistant. It makes sense also because Ward was an outside hire and Huska was a promotion. Ward would want to come in as the number two whereas Huska was happy to get to the NHL.

Is it just me or does it feel like more people are defending what Peters said than what Cherry said? Disappointing to say the least, especially after the confirmation and expansion on comments provided today.

It's like any music - there's great stuff and crappy stuff.

The amount of people who defended Cherry made it easier to come out to defend Peters.

That said, if DMX was your boss at some point and, in front of your entire workplace, told you that he wanted to cut your head off because you are white, then DMX shouldn't work in management any longer. No questions asked.
Funny story, DMX was my boss at some point. He never threatened to cut my head off but he did bark and growl at me a lot. It was equal parts intimidating and hilarious.

One is something that everyone witnessed on live TV recently, the other is a description of something that happened 10 years ago. One can leave for more 'grey' area than the other, so people can try and use that to form a defence.

I would say tough position for Peters to be in, but clearly he has never made any attempt to make things right over the 10 years since he said these things. Easy to apologize once your career gets torpedoed.

Off Topic: I'm lowkey surprised DMX hasn't been publicly maligned for 'Where the hood at'

Maybe he’s not sorry. Sorry for losing his job maybe. Oh well, people say and do sfumato stuff. Khl will hire him
