I’m critical of JG this year, but he was just checking to see how much time and space he had there.

This game was entertaining. Good hockey all around. I’d rather we win all games. But if we lose, I’d rather we lose games like this one. Great effort from almost everyone on the team.

Backlund literally hit the cross bar on his grade a chance and you’re gonna call him useless because of it?

Odd timing for that comment but okay.

Last year he would have tried 5 hole and it wouldn't have gone in.

Nobody touched the puck till the other guys were off. I think it was a legal change.

Yah, I think he was seeing if any of his team mates were close enough to make it a 2 or even 3 on 0. Wouldn’t have done it 5 on 5 but probably worth a look 3 on 3.

He then took 2 other shots into the legs of the Penguins in front of him.

He went 0/3 on getting any kind of shot off in OT on the same shift.

Hitting a cross bar, being an inch away is a blunder now?

Tough crowd.

Puck bounced on Gaudreau, he had a good game...was responsible for the tying goal

When has Johnny ever been good at breakaways anyway.

Tough game to lose since they played a competitive game -- A goal there would've really boosted Johnny's confidence

Really glad to see Brodie back

Still missed though, didn’t he? He must be like 0/10 in grade A scoring chances this year. He’s been absolutely brutal in the offensive zone.

Hmm. I thought he tried to go five-hole. I'll have to look at it again.
