Just saying you don't know until he does it, he won a couple games great and you are speaking it absolutes.
Leafs supposedly in a cup window, lets see how it goes. They need to at least get past the first round. Babcock got them to game 7 against the eventual eastern champs. Exactly the coach they need should get them further

It's not often I agree with Cecil, but he's bang on this time.
You don't come off looking like the wise and mysterious insider, Flash. You come off looking like an attention whore.
Given Commodore said more with three words - "Bill 'Babcock' Peters" - I'm willing to bet that "what you heard" is nothing more than that same interview that we've all listened to by now.

If Peters does any of that mind game crap that Babcock has reportedly done, then they should fire him into the sun yesterday, and maybe let someone else hire the coach next time.
I like a lot of what Treliving has done, but he shouldn't be the one to sign UFA's or hire coaches anymore if Peters is as much of a piece of crap as Babcock is.
It's hard enough to get players to want to come to Calgary FFS.

Peters doesn't seem the type, though who knows. I do think the fact he was associated with Babcock before doesn't mean much on that score because it's about personality, not systems.
That said it's not uncommon. Sutter wasn't above the odd mind games with players.

I think he posted this about a month ago in another thread, and the souce(s) were several former and current players he talked to. Apologies if I am misremembering.
