Lucic gets power play minutes because he’s big, strong, and immovable in front of the net. Therefore he’s one of our top two clear cut net front presence options along with Tkachuk. Tkachuk can play multiple roles.
I mean if you dont understand the net front presence role on the power play then maybe the decision might seem puzzling to you. If you understand the role, you should understand why Lucic is one of our best options at it.
You don’t put players on the power play simply because they’ve scored goals. You have different players in different roles.
