At the end of the day, its time to have Treliving have that team meeting and flatly tell the players that they're not replacing the coach, and its the players job to play and that's it, they're not general managers or coaches, they're not going to force the team into a move.

Devon Claybrooks had a great saying though. "I don't coach effort, I replace a lack of effort".

Oh and if the players start bleating, there's always tickets to the press box, bag skates and sitting on the end of the bench.

A lot if they are of the quality like Brent Sutter or Gulutzan.

And how many were really familiar with Bill Peters or happy when they signed him when at that time, quite a few established coaches were available?

I hate to bring some positivity into the thread, but the team is collectively having zero luck. There were several great scoring chances tonight that normally would be easy goals that didn’t go our way. I know the score doesn’t reflect it, but I thought the team looked better tonight than they have in the past couple weeks.

They've been both horribly bad and horribly unlucky. They'll come around.

Also I love Rasmus Andersson - he's clearly gutted with their performance.

On the bright side my 3 year old girl loved going to a game last year and asks me when she can go again.... Tickets should be really cheap soon to take her.

Downside is getting her to be a fan of this joke of a franchise.

I said earlier in the season that that Flames have well below average depth. I’d like to see the same posters that called me out still defend their positions. We are just not a good team built the way we are.

Are you looking for a pat on the back? The entire team is playing below their career norm right now

I think the big difference in depth this year is the regression of Backlund and Frolik. When the 3M line turns from one of the best lines in hockey to a crappy line, it has a huge impact. They used to shut down Crosby, Bergeron, etc. Now they are barely average. This makes it harder for all lines to score.

The scary thing is that the salary cap has come to a point that big trades and salary dumps are hard to pull off. The rebuild will be harder to pull off.

Honestly, it's not all that surprising considering how the team, Gaudreau & Monahan especially, looked since February.

What's most irritating is the way they're losing. Scoring a goal is now a monumental task, and that's pathetic. At least if they were falling 6-5 it would be exciting and the offence would be something to build off of.

Tkachuk is a good interview, except him and everyone on the team lacks the sack of calling out the dead weight. This team is ripe with losers since Treliving imported Edmontons most useless plugs and expected success.

I would have so much respect for the first Flame to call out the useless c*n*s that arent in it for the team anymore.

I can't believe I planned my Flames roadtrip right now...going to Philly now, and then following them to Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Planned this trip over a month ago. What a great time to be going to watch them, on the verge of a 9 game losing streak.

"I hold in my hand the envelopes. As a child of four can plainly see, these envelopes have been hermetically sealed. ..."

Edmonton, Arizona and Vancouver...

Name 3 teams you'd least expect leading the Pacific and ahead of Calgary with games in hand
