So, they only play well in the last 10 minutes of each game, but every 5th game they play well for the full 60.

Do we have a sports psychologist handy to tell us what that means?

Surprise surprise, Backlund isn’t the answer on the top line either. 3rd line or below.

Excellent effort by Lucic Ryan line. Grinding every shift hoping the persistence pays off or wears down the Avs.

Comical how the puck is hopping over the ultra tight sticks of JG and SM.

Jankowski nowhere to be found. Rinoldo looked far better.

Tkachuk somewhat quiet, whatever move the Flames make have to be first and foremost finding a guy to play with him exclusively.

Derek Ryan leads the team in 5v5 points since February.

Better line him up a 7x7.

If Tre trades the first pick I am going to be a sad man.

I like the Monahan and Mangiapane pairing. Gaudreau still looks lost.

The Flames are harmless. Even their best chances hardly look dangerous.

Who knew the answer to Johnny would be Zadorov. Had him handled pretty well, Johnny is lucky the refs let a couple of his frustrated whacks go.

Team needs a top six centre to move forward in any meaningful way.

...so, uh...about that 2020 draft...

I’ve held out as long as I could but I’m fully on board with a major shakeup. I’ve completely lost faith in our core players.

In addition to the Ryan-Lucic-Dube line I liked Mangiapane's game.

Possession stats tell the tale pretty well IMO

Lucic-Ryan-Dube: 69.7% Corsi, 1GF 0GA
Tkachuk-Monahan-Mangiapane: 73.3% Corsi, 0GF 0GA
Gaudreau-Backlund-Lindholm: 42.1% Corsi, 0GF 2GA

Seems everything Gaudreau touches lately turns to ####.

They’re obviously in a funk but there’s a lot to be positive about in that game.

Honestly I might be alone in this but I still believe in this team.

not to be a downer, but this was an avs team missing some of their top players... no rantanen, no landeskog, no jost...

Playing even at home against an Avs team with 3 of the top players out is pretty sad.

Two goals scored in 3 games. Alright. I thought they looked engaged for the most part tonight. For the most part.

Gave the fans a bit of excitement at the end of the game but alas, a L is still an L.

My take away from the game is that it wasn't the whipping I thought was going to happen. So yay?

Nice to see Peter's stick with his new lines all game. I'll add onto the Ryan Lucic Dube love. They were strong all night.
