Expecting more of the same tonight.

- Flames will give up the first goal,
- they will have the bulk of the penalties including one about 30 seconds into the game, my guess is Bennett or Hamonic,
- Gaudreau will take a short side shot and it won't work,
- Backlund will miss an absolute gaping net at a critical point in the game and the other team will go the other way and score,
- Gio will pinch AND fall over at the same time and inevitably give up an odd man the other way and will score. Giordano will fall over a couple more times in the game to give up odd man rushes.
- Tkachuk will try to fire up his team with some emotion and it won't work.
- Lucic will look like the exact same player he was for Edmonton

I think you need two of the big guys on each of the top two lines.

Last time they stranded Monahan with nobody. This time at least they have talent on both of the trios.

If any player can take a penalty when not playing, it is Bennett. He will also somehow be responsible for a goal being called back as well.

If Mony and Tkachuk can work out with Mang then you move Lindholm to center and find someone else for him and Gaudreau, probably Dube or perhaps Czar or dare I say Bennett - not ideal but surely someone can play the Chaisson type roll.

The way Lindholm likes to criss-cross, and Backs likes it too, Lindholm will be playing C half the time anyway. If you like - Backs is the defensive C and Lindholm is more the offensive playmaker.

I think Tkachuk-Lindholm-Gaudreau would lack in their own zone. Lindholm is fine but Tkachuk isn't great and Gaudreau is not even there half the time.

Would be a breath of fresh air if the Avs took more penalties tonight and the Flames kept theirs to 2 or less.

Which also would imply that the officials don't called 2-3 iffy ones throughout which has been a disturbing norm this season.
