I miss the days of Rob Kerr and his 'Whirling Dervish' like comments. It made for a much more interesting game.

In part because he avoids contact at all cost. Not just the big hits like when he ran scared with Reaves tracking him, its more crucially not entering into, or far enough into, or staying long enough in, scoring areas.
He's always been pretty soft but it's more amplified this year when you've got a guy like Tkachuk on the line going all put and, Backlund is centering a supposed second scoring line that the Flames need production of, and he wants to stay on the perimeter.

Bill Peters has lost the team.

I really don't think they'd do that if they're already down a few defenseman.
Who knows though, who knows

Rick Ball is 100 times better than Rob Kerr. Like it’s not even close.

Where have we seen this movie before?
Get scored on in the first...don't really get a lot of good chances.
Get scored on again in the second...still don't really get a lot of good chances.
First line is invisible.
Second line is invisible.
Third line is ... kinda out there.
Fourth line plays decently. Mostly.
Flames take a bunch of penalties (to be fair, some seem undeserved from the scrums).
Flames give up a bunch of odd-man rushes. Oppo scores on one. Luck stops the rest.
Goalie is OK, not outstanding. D is OK not outstanding. We have no forwards.
(How am I doing...?)
This team is almost unwatchable at this point. They just never seem to have someone in front of the net (excluding the D who are 45' away). More plays than I can count, there are ALL THREE forwards behind the net. Not gonna score like that.
I have no idea what their problem is. But it's a problem all right.
Watching the Vegas feed and all they can say is that the Flames are "having problems" LOL.

Flames probably looking at a long term plan, which is why we are see little, or no emotion from the players or the coach. Only place to get real talent when you can't always trade for it is in the draft. I think the style of play we are seeing from the Flames is by design.

Can we hire Keenan for one night to RIP into these guys? Particular focus on Gaudreau, Monahan and Backlund.

I found Kerr to be endearing. To each their own I guess.

We were bad enough with Brodie in the line up. With him out, our lack of defensive depth and Gio’s age are showing. If anyone wants to know what the team would look like if he’s traded, the last 2 games have been a sneak peek.
Shut out for Fleury incoming.

He does get too much flack.
I’d keep Brodie over Hamonic every day of the week.

2013-14. They lost 6-0 to Phoenix on January 7, 2014 and lost 5-0 to St. Louis two nights later. Those two shutout losses were part of a span which saw them shut out 5 times in 7 games and 6 times in 11, including another back-to-back shutout losses on December 27 and 29, 2013 to the Oilers and Canucks.
Bonus: the Flames were shut out 3 times in 5 games between March 18-26, 2018 (losses to Vegas, Anaheim, and Los Angeles) as part of a stretch in which they won just 4 of 18 games.
Bonus 2: the Flames last recorded back-to-back shutout wins on March 9 and 11, 2017, beating Montreal and Winnipeg 5-0 and 3-0.

Taking a while to get to 5000

The Kerr mention makes me think of Simmer. Just imagine what he'd have to say about the Flames tonight.
Just imagine....

If not for Talbot it’s a ball whipping.
