perhaps the most baffling element of this team is how its staple breakout play is have a winger who is already out of the zone rush back to where he was supposed to be five seconds ago on the wall.

None of the flames are playing like they are willing to sacrifice their body for the cause this year.

Biggest visual difference this year is Hamonic, but Gaudreau and Backlund also don't look like they really want to be there or do the things they otherwise would be doing on a cohesive team.

It's really disconcerting.

Almost wouldn't be a bad thing to re-tool this year by dealing off a handful of guys like the UFA's + a piece or two like Backlund and find new blood. Something has to change with this team. They've cycled everything but the players.
