Really notice the difference in break outs. All five Blues players in their own end and give the defence someone to pass to, Flames have 2-3 forwards at center and the D have nobody to pass to to get a quick out.

We have two defensemen tonight that can't really breakout (Stone, Hamonic) so it'll be a tough go. And unfortunately for us defense activation is critical in today's NHL.

Got to get Kylington back in there, as soon as you can.

This is their 20th game of the season and 9th home game. That's not that far off of 50/50, which I would guess is the expected odds of scoring first.

It certainly hasn't had much meaning recently in terms of wins or losses. In both games this week and every game on the recent road trip except the shutout last week in Columbus, the team that scored first lost the game.

Sad to seee the blues 4th line just own the puck the entire time against the flames first frigin line. Another big western conference team the flames would maybe be able to take to 5 games in a playoff series.
