Tkachuk is the natural successor to Gio as captain.

Tkachuk is a pretty special player. I love how humble and composed he is in interviews too. Coming from his upbringing you'd expect a bit of a brat. But he's all class

Sweet comeback win! Tkachuk is amazing.

This team's record would be so much better right now if they could learn how to show up for the first half of games. Get that fixed and these guys will be just fine.

Still plenty to work on obviously. But man, when this team cranks up the energy level, they're a lot of fun to watch.

I'm all for giving the other team credit, but the vast majority of that game was Flames players passing into each other's skates and not remotely hustling or using their edges.

The turtle, nor any other animal does not care when, or how he eats. When he gets 2 HUGE points, he devours it without remorse or care.

Great to see Gaudreau get off the slide, and Tkachuk be clutch once again. That is winning, the Calgary Flames way.

Tkachuk is so clutch, no doubt about it that he and Lindholm are untouchables for the Flames.

I'm almost expecting an emergency schedule change from the league. The Oilers last game is wiped out and they get to play Ari tomorrow. It almost feels like some kind of paradox when they play the rested team.

Hrudey not giving Chucky any credit for looking like he was going to pass to Backlund and then firing it at the net.

Great comeback win. Rittich and Tkachuk bailed us out though.

We really need to stop giving up so many odd man rushes. What another 2 2 on 0 and 2-3 2 on 1's this game?

Take the 2 quick and move on quick!!

4 in 6 with massive travel...It wasn't a great game but they did have 43 shots against one of the best defensive teams this far

that being said there is no excuse for Thursday night they should be rested and ready to go

TBF, Chucky himself said he just wanted to get a shot off and head to the bench.

Chucky also deflects any praise/ positives thrown his way. The shot was a no looker that was sold as a pass very well.
