3 shots so far this period compared to 4 in the first. Can the flames keep up this torrid pace?

Noticing a theme. They push like they're going to take over games but a play goes wrong and ends in our net then they recede into a shell and only push again when it's too late.

Just playing scared and reacting to what the other team is doing, rather than just asserting their game and speed and not looking back. If they're owning possession and getting chances, they just need to keep going, despite the mistakes that end up in our net. Its the backing off that kills them.

Hopeful this is just a slump and they haven’t found that next gear yet but I’m starting to think there are much larger issues.
It's heart. And that's something that's very hard to generate if you don't have it in you, or did have but, but lost it. The Colorado series really did them in.

The team is mentally broken right now. Don't know if they have it in them to ignite the fire, and start playing as they should consistently from here on out. No resiliency at all.

It’s also a failure to execute.

I think the team clearly needs a roster shakeup. I do that before I think about coaches or anything else.

Feels like that series put this team 2 years back.

I sure hope their memory isn't that long regarding that series, but with how they've been playing all year you could definitely be right.

It’s like there is only so much luck to go around and the Oilers are taking it all.

Hrudey totally missed the battle of Anderson and Elkhom on that shift, Tkachuk just came in last minute.

This team deserves to lose this so bad. They really need a wake-up call...

Tkachuk thinks that he is a professional wrestler, and his signature move is the between the legs pass/shot. There has to be a nickname in there somewhere.
